Mystic Journey is an exciting piece starting with a mysterious, slow opening. There is plenty to keep the percussion busy. The opening theme is driving with accents in the brass and percussion. The second theme features the clarinets and adds a counter melody as it repeats. Then after a short return of the first driving melody, I bring back the opening theme up-tempo and feature low brass in an augmented version of the second theme, building to an exciting conclusion. Take your band on this mysterious musical journey.
